Solutions pricing

Pricing of the packages is based on:

1. A once-off licence fee
2. Any special configuration required by ourselves at £600 per day.
3. Hosting is £35 per month, discounted to £100 if paid on a quarterly basis.
4. Support covers any questions, small changes, fixing problems outside warranty, software upgrades where required and generally looking after the client. It does not cover major items of work (say more than an hour or two) which would be quoted for.

Configuration

If your site is simple and you don't require any special configuration this would be zero. Examples of typical configuration tasks we would undertake for you are as follows:

• The express package comes with a basic menu builder. If you need us to create a special menu builder this might be from 1-2 days. You can avoid this by hard-coding the navigation into the skin.
• If you don't have HTML skills we can create a skin from Photoshop files from about half a day to a day.
• Changes to the standard layouts could be as little as a few hours.
• User training is normally about half a day.

These are typical charges for common straightforward jobs. But some tasks are much more time consuming and therefore costly than others. Please ask us to quote for your requirements before you make a committment to your client.

Alternative hosting arrangements

We can supply a virtual server which will allow you to host your clients sites. We will manage it for you and provide second line support. This would suit a more experienced designer who is happy to provide first line support to their clients and who will be hosting two or more sites (one of them could be yours!).

Even the base product offers:

• Unlimited user accounts and web sites
• 1.25 GB disk
• No data transfer charge (provided traffic is 'within reason')
• Urchin web log analysis
• 24/7 monitoring
• Managed security including security-hardened operating system and applications
• Triple data backup

A virtual server is from £60 per month - reduced to £175 per quarter if paid quarterly. Currently setup is free, but please confirm with us as this is a special offer which may change at short notice.

Support

We strongly recommend that designers quote support for their clients except for basic web sites. A web site is not like getting a brochure printed. The environment is constantly changing and (frankly) because we are in the business of supporting the designer we end up providing support whether it has been offered or not. The only difference is we get quite grumpy about it!

Discounts

We want repeat business! So we discount our prices for all except the textor express package as follows.

Please note that the licence fee for textor express is not discountable, but you are free to mark it up to your client to cover your implementation costs.
